Eidul Azha 2025 Holidays Schedule Expected in Pakistan

by Bella

Eidul Azha 2025 is expected to be observed on June 7 in Pakistan, based on astronomical predictions.

Eidul Azha, which is celebrated during the Islamic month of Zul-Hijjah, honors the sacrifices made by Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismael (AS). The occasion is marked by the ritual sacrifice of animals, communal prayers, family gatherings, festive meals, and charitable activities across the country and in various parts of the world.

The Emirates Astronomy Society has forecasted that the moon marking the beginning of Zul-Hijjah will likely be sighted on May 27. Should this prediction hold, Eidul Azha would be celebrated on June 6 in the Gulf countries.

In Pakistan, if the moon is sighted on May 28, Zul-Hijjah would begin on May 29, placing Eidul Azha on June 7, 2025. Consequently, the government is expected to announce official public holidays from June 6 to June 9 (Friday to Monday), with schools and offices resuming operations on June 10 (Tuesday).

This schedule remains subject to the moon sighting, which traditionally determines the exact dates of Islamic festivals.
