The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has announced the addition of eight extra trains on April 16 to accommodate the surge of passengers returning to Bangkok following the Songkran holiday. These trains will operate across six key routes to ensure smooth travel and prevent overcrowding at train stations.

Expanded Service for Songkran Travelers

According to SRT Governor Veeris Ammarapala, the additional trains will serve crucial northern, northeastern, and southern routes, reflecting the high demand from holidaymakers heading back to the capital after the traditional Songkran festivities.
