This holiday will apply to all schools across the two states, including government, private, and aided institutions. As a result, students will be able to enjoy a break from their academic schedules, allowing them to join in the festive celebrations with family and friends.

In addition to the March 14 holiday, schools in Telangana will observe a break on March 15 and 16, extending the festive holiday to three days in total.

Holi is widely celebrated across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, with vibrant processions, music, and dance marking the occasion. The festival’s signature activity—throwing colored powders and splashing water—symbolizes the triumph of good over evil, bringing communities together in a joyful display of color.

The holiday also offers families a chance to bond over cultural traditions. Parents often engage children in activities such as playing with colors, preparing festive foods, and enjoying local cultural performances.
