Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged young people across the country to make the most of their summer holidays by focusing on both enjoyment and personal development. In a message shared on social media, Modi encouraged students to explore opportunities that blend learning with fun during the break.
On Tuesday, the Prime Minister posted on X (formerly Twitter), extending his best wishes to youth for a fulfilling and joyful summer. “Wishing all my young friends a wonderful experience and happy holidays. As I mentioned in last Sunday’s #MannKiBaat, the summer holidays are a great time to enjoy, learn, and grow,” he wrote.
Modi’s message came in response to a post by Bengaluru South Member of Parliament (MP) Tejasvi Surya, who had launched a week-long summer camp aimed at fostering new skills among children. Surya’s initiative, designed for children aged 8 to 14, offers a variety of activities, including yoga, meditation, Gita recitation, dance fitness, self-defense, and drawing. Around 2,500 children in 10 centers across the Bengaluru South constituency are expected to benefit from the camp.
The MP, who shared details of the program on X, emphasized the importance of combining enjoyment with learning. “This initiative aligns with PM Modi’s #MannKiBaat message, where he urged children to mix fun and learning this summer,” Surya noted.
Additionally, during his 120th episode of the Mann Ki Baat radio program, Modi unveiled a special initiative aimed at making summer vacations more productive. The “MY-Bharat” calendar includes activities designed to enhance children’s creativity and education, such as study tours to Jan Aushadhi Kendras, visits to border villages as part of the vibrant village campaign, and various other educational experiences.
PM Modi also encouraged children and parents to share their holiday experiences on social media using the hashtag #HolidayMemories, fostering a sense of community and shared learning.
This push for integrating learning into summer activities is seen as part of Modi’s broader efforts to encourage the youth to engage with their communities and develop skills that will serve them in the future.
