MP Schools to Stay Closed for 46 Days Due to Heatwave

by Bella

In response to the ongoing heatwave and rising temperatures, the Madhya Pradesh government has announced a school holiday schedule for 2025. Schools across the state will remain closed from May 1 to June 15, 2025, granting students a 46-day break.

Teachers, on the other hand, will observe a 31-day summer break, from May 1 to May 31, 2025. This decision is part of the state’s efforts to mitigate the impact of extreme weather conditions on educational activities.

This move comes as part of a broader trend across India, with several states, including West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh, also revealing their holiday calendars for the year.
