Escorted tour specialist Newmarket Holidays has unveiled its first-ever itinerary to New Zealand, marking a significant expansion of its long-haul portfolio.
The 21-day tour offers a comprehensive journey across both the North and South Islands, featuring a carefully curated schedule that highlights the country’s diverse landscapes—from subtropical islands and glacier-fed fjords to geothermal wonders and vibrant cities.
The itinerary includes guided tours of major urban centres such as Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin. Among the standout experiences are a full-day cruise through the Bay of Islands, a scenic drive to Rotorua—famed for its rich Māori culture—and a cruise through the majestic Milford Sound. Guests will also explore Abel Tasman National Park by boat and on foot.
Additional experiences include a visit to the National Kiwi Hatchery, a wine tasting in the Marlborough region, and punting on the River Avon in Christchurch. The tour also features a flyover of Mount Cook, a wildlife excursion to the Royal Albatross Colony, and a stop at the iconic Lord of the Rings film set.
Personalisation options are available throughout the trip, allowing travellers to tailor elements of their journey through Aotearoa to their interests.
Prices start at £7,151 per person, inclusive of a 10% early booking discount. The package includes 17 nights’ bed and breakfast accommodation, return flights from Birmingham, Heathrow, or Manchester, internal transfers and flights, and all guided excursions.
Departures are scheduled for September and November 2026, with eight additional departures planned throughout 2027.
Hayley Morris, Head of Trade Sales and Partnerships at Newmarket Holidays, expressed enthusiasm for the new destination. “We are thrilled to launch our first New Zealand tour. We’ve crafted a well-paced itinerary that showcases the country’s natural beauty, rich Māori heritage, and iconic landmarks,” she said. “The tour offers great value for its length and experiences, presenting agents with an exciting opportunity to promote a once-in-a-lifetime journey.”
