Customers with upcoming trips have been informed that they will receive full refunds, with the process being carried out in order of departure dates.
The company, which specializes in holiday packages to destinations across the Balkans, assured customers that although it is no longer in operation, it has not entered liquidation. The company posted a statement on its social media and website, apologizing for the disruption caused and urging clients to be patient as refunds are processed.
“Balkan Holidays Ltd has, as of 24th of April 2025, closed for business in the UK. We regret to inform you that all forward holiday bookings have been cancelled. All clients will be notified and refunded in full,” the statement read.
Customers who booked directly with the company are instructed to contact Balkan Holidays via the designated email address for refunds, while those who made bookings through third-party travel agents are advised to reach out to them for further assistance.
The company added, “We kindly ask for your patience as we process refunds. Thank you for your past business, and please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused.”
Holidaymakers impacted by the closure have taken to social media to express their frustration. One customer posted on Twitter, “Absolutely devastated we were going in 36 days’ time! How are we meant to book anywhere now with such short notice?”
In response, Balkan Holidays reiterated that it is prioritizing refunds based on the departure dates of bookings and is working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.
